Acceptance of terms

Browsing events or buying a ticket accepts these terms. If we update them, the date at the top of this page marks a material change, and continued use after that change accepts the update.

Definitions

In these terms:

• Geco Tribe means Food and Beyond Company Ltd, trading as Geco Tribe.
• You means the person browsing or buying a ticket.
• Organiser means the host of the event. When Geco Tribe hosts the event, the organiser is us.
• Ticket means a digital ticket for an event sold on Geco Tribe.
• Face value means the ticket price, excluding any separate platform fee charged to you.
• Platform fee means the fee Geco Tribe keeps on a ticket sale.
• Services means the Geco Tribe storefront used to browse and buy event tickets.

Eligibility and accounts

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure. Activity under your account is treated as yours.

Platform use and conduct

Use the Services to browse and buy tickets for yourself. Do not commit fraud, scrape the site, or interfere with events, checkout, or other people using Geco Tribe.

Organisers

Hosts create and run events. The time, venue, and lineup are the host’s responsibility. Geco Tribe does not guarantee that an event will happen as the host described it.

Ticket purchases and attendees

Payment confirms the order. Tickets are delivered digitally. Keep the ticket details secure. A ticket is for your own use unless that event says otherwise.

Payments and fees

You can pay by M-Pesa, Airtel Money, or card. The price shown at checkout is the amount you pay. You are responsible for entering accurate payment details.

Refunds and cancellations follow the cancellation policy. There is no refund for a change of mind. If a host cancels or postpones an event, the face value can be returned and the platform fee is not.

Intellectual property

The storefront and Geco Tribe branding belong to us. Event names, artwork, and other event material belong to the host.

Privacy

Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data. Our cookie policy explains essential, analytics, and marketing cookies on the storefront.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

We provide the platform within reason. We are not liable for a host failing to run an event, or for the quality of an event, beyond what the laws of Kenya require.

Termination

We may suspend access to the Services if you misuse them, including fraud or interference with other users or with an event.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes are heard in the courts of Kenya.
